Q) What is Bogart Golf?
A) Bogart Golf is an indoor instruction and training center that utilizes digital video technology to enhance the learning process. Our combination of PGA recognized curriculum and instant visual feedback make for an extremely effective way to improve your golf game.
Q) What kinds of programs do you offer?
A) We offer both lesson series and memberships. Most of our students combine lesson series with memberships. Memberships allow you to use our state of the art facility for unlimited practice sessions. Typically a student takes a lesson and then practices the material from the lesson here in the studios with the supervision of their Professional in order to take advantage of the visual feedback. We have found this program to be much more effective than sending students to the driving range to work on their swings alone and without video.
Q) What is the difference between a lesson and a training session?
A) All visits to Bogart Golf are booked in 45 minute increments. Lessons are one on one instruction for the entire 45 minutes. Training sessions give you the opportunity to practice the material that was covered in the lesson. When you come in for a training session a Bogart Professional will help set you up in a studio and assist you as you begin your session. You are then able to utilize the benefits of video feedback as you improve your swing!
Q) What makes your programs effective?
A) In a nutshell, it's having access to our studios to practice the techniques from your lessons. Simply taking golf lessons is like simply taking classes in college. Unless you practice or study it is very unlikely that you will actually retain anything. With the golf swing, the movements must be practiced properly so that they become effortless and automatic. Trying to hone your swing alone on the driving range is both difficult and dangerous because you run the risk of engraining bad habits. We offer an extremely effective training environment that features professional supervision and instant visual feedback. That's the Bogart way!
Q) Can I really improve by practicing indoors?
A) Absolutely, positively!! Most professionals now leverage technology like ours to work on their swings. If you can see what you're doing, you can make adjustments and improvements much more effectively. The great thing is that we are with you every step of the way providing you with supervision while you practice, notes and pictures from your lessons, streaming video of your swing and your own personal home page on our website. Our support system is by far the most comprehensive in the golf instruction business.
Q) If I can't see ball flight, how do I know if I'm improving?
A) Ball flight is just a reaction to an action. The action that causes ball flight is the swing itself. By focusing on the cause rather then the effect, you will be able to make the changes necessary and understand what in the swing causes certain ball flights.
Q) What if I'm a true beginner?
A) Bogart's instruction is tailored to each individual's experience level. We witness outstanding improvements from players of all ages and abilities. (yes, we offer junior programs as well) Whether you are an accomplished player or someone who has never swung a club, you will benefit greatly with the help of our expert staff, PGA recognized curriculum, visual feedback and a perfect practice environment. Our memberships allow you to move through the lesson series at your own individual pace. We encourage you to take a lesson and then use our facility to practice until the techniques become automatic. In this way, you are able to move to your next lesson without being overwhelmed by too much information.
Q) What else do you offer besides lessons on the full swing?
A) At Bogart Golf we offer services and products that can benefit all aspects of your game. In addition to the full swing, we offer putting and short game lessons, playing lessons on the course, professional club fitting and, custom fit golf clubs from manufactures like; Taylor Made, Cleveland, Hogan and Dimension Z, plus seminars on course management and the mental side of the game. We even make our centers available for hosting corporate events and parties!
